John’s new piece “7 Blake Songs” was premiered by Eclectic Voices and the Martin Speake Trio at St. Paul’s Church, Covent Garden.

July & December 2014
Phil Cunningham and John arranged “Loch Lomond” for Nicola Benedetti, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Phil's band for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. A new version of this arrangement was performed again as a highlight of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show on December 14, 2014.

June-July 2014

John conducted a session with Michael Bublé, his band, and a Big Band at Air Studios in London.

John arranged the music for Diana Ross's performance at "Christmas in Washington" which took place in front of President Obama and Vice-President Biden.

2012
John composed the music for the Da Capo Foundation's 21st birthday celebrations. This music was performed by Da Capo students with members of the Aurora Orchestra.

July 2012
John conducted several orchestra and choir sessions at Abbey Road for the score of "Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2", composed by Carter Burwell.

John arranged three of Conlon Nancarrow's studies for player piano for Rex Lawson (pianola) and the London Sinfonietta.

John conducted the orchestra for Michael Buble's ITV Christmas special (UK) and for Michael Buble's appearance on BBC Radio 2's "In Concert".

John performed "Rhapsody in Blue" with the Docklands Sinfonia, conducted by Elizabeth de Lacey at St. Peter's church, Notting Hill, London W11.

John's piece "Variations on the Fourth Tune" was performed by the Trinity Laban String Ensemble, conducted by Nic Pendlebury at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich.
